Happy Friday Luv,

Who said staying in on a Friday night had to be boring?

You can make it more enjoyable and relaxing by devoting the night to self-care, especially if you need more time for a self-care day.

If you’re wondering what you can do on your self-care night, we’ve compiled a list of self-care night ideas for you to consider. As a result, you can relax and calm your mind after a long, stressful week at work. Have a delicious meal.

My guide to a well-rounded self-care day

Have a delicious stress-free meal:
Our first self-care night idea is to prepare dinner. Choose one of your favorite recipes, go to the grocery store, and buy all the ingredients.
When preparing the food, make sure to create the ideal atmosphere. Put on some great music or watch an episode of your favorite show and enjoy the cooking process.

If you don’t want to spend time preparing dinner, you can still treat yourself to a delicious meal. Order from one of your favorite restaurants and have the food delivered to your door. If possible, choose a healthier meal that will make you feel better (although I understand that sometimes comfort food is necessary).

Playing soothing music will also help you relax. Depending on your preferences, you can listen to soothing music while lying in bed, taking a hot bath, or even cooking. The songs will almost certainly lift your spirits! Not a fan of meditation music? Choose music that makes you happy. Dancing is optional but highly recommended!

Have an at-home Spa treatment routine:
Treat yourself. Going to the spa can be expensive and difficult to arrange on a Friday evening.

This is why having a spa night at home may be a more cost-effective and flexible option. Fortunately, there are numerous excellent at-home spa treatments available to pamper yourself.

Here are some suggestions for a spa-at-home night
– To clean your pores, steam your face
– Wear a face mask
– Use a body scrub to exfoliate dead skin cells
– Apply a moisturizing lotion or hand cream to your skin
– Take a milk bath to unwind; consider adding rose petals to make it more luxurious
– Trim and color your nails
– Take care of your hair by washing, conditioning, and styling it

Call a friend:
Contact a friend if you’re spending your special night of self-care alone but would like some company for a while. It’s understandable because we all need human connections, don’t we?

To maintain a positive vibe, discuss life goals and avoid complaining, gossiping, and nagging whenever possible. Whether you make a video or voice call, chatting briefly with a friend is a great way to wake up. You will notice that you feel less stressed and anxious after the call.

Socially disconnect:
Put your phone away! Like most people, you might find you spend a significant amount of time using your phone and checking social media. While many believe there is nothing wrong with constantly looking at your phone, there are numerous disadvantages.

So take a break and put your phone away every now and then, preferably on your self-care night. Then, instead of refreshing your Facebook feed, you can spend some valuable time taking care of yourself and enjoying your time.

Give your eyes the break they deserve:
Consider using a warming eye mask if you are tired or have a headache. These masks have numerous benefits, including soothing tired eyes, alleviating dry eye symptoms, and relieving headaches. They can also help with dark circles under the eyes!

Although there are numerous types of warming eye masks, most are reusable. All you have to do is microwave them to reap the benefits. Next, take your time getting ready for bed.

Devote time for yourself each night:
What does it look like when you get ready for bed?
Do you take a quick shower or bath and then crawl into bed? If this is the case, it’s time to alter your bedtime routine and devote more time to yourself. Instead of rushing to bed, take your time and properly prepare yourself for sleep.

Take a relaxing shower or bath – whichever you prefer! Then put on some nice, comfortable pyjamas, drink a cup of tea, read a little, light a scented candle, and so on. You deserve this extra attention!

Curate a Bedtime routine:
Finally, developing a relaxing bedtime routine can help you fall and stay asleep more easily.

We all deserve a night of self-care – Self-care is more important now than ever before. Thus, devoting an entire day or night to self-care is a good use of time. Even though it can be difficult to prioritize, it is well worth it!

Try one of our self-care night ideas, or all of them, and reap the benefits of self-care!
